Nursing Colleges Membership

We are pleased to announce that the Association of Healthcare Providers (India) is expanding its membership base to include a dedicated ‘Nursing Colleges’ wing under its institutional umbrella. Nursing forms the cornerstone of effective healthcare delivery in India. Despite being the largest segment of the health workforce, the profession continues to face challenges such as outdated curriculam, limited faculty development, skill gaps, and regulatory hurdles. At a time when nursing education stands at the threshold of reform, there is an urgent need for a unified platform to advocate for academic advancement, inclusive policies, and improved standards of training and practice.

AHPI is a not-for-profit society registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860, representing the collective voice of healthcare providers across India. It engages with the Government, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure equitable, accessible, and high-quality healthcare delivery. AHPI’s mission is to contribute to a healthier India by enabling universal access to essential health services across all sections of society. Through the Nursing Colleges wing, AHPI will promote collaborative initiatives on curriculum reforms, faculty upskilling, policy advocacy, inter-professional education, and integration of nursing leadership into mainstream healthcare planning.

In addition, AHPI continues its work through its Healthcare Academy and Certification Centre, offering competency-based training in healthcare quality, patient safety, and healthcare management, which will now be extended to benefit nursing institutions as well.

To ensure regional participation and effective local outreach, AHPI has empowered state chapters in: Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Goa, Manipur, Northeast, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh & Jammu & Kashmir (North Zone), Haryana, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. With this inclusive step, AHPI reinforces its commitment to strengthening the nursing education ecosystem and contributing to a robust and responsive healthcare system for the nation.
